Description
Traditional French Sablés de Noël made with butter and cinnamon, perfect for decorating, gifting, or enjoying during the holiday season.
Ingrédients
ÉCHELLE
- 125 g all-purpose flour
- 70 g unsalted butter, softened
- 50 g granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Powdered sugar
- A few drops water
Préparation
- Mix softened butter and egg yolk until smooth
- Add flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt and mix into a dough
- Form dough into a ball, wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Roll dough to 3 mm thickness and cut shapes
- Place cookies on a lined baking sheet
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until lightly golden
- Mix powdered sugar with water to form a thick glaze
- Let cookies cool slightly and glaze one side
- Allow glaze to dry completely

- Do not overwork the dough
- Chilling the dough improves texture
- Glaze cookies only when fully cooled
